"I've been watching TV all my life and I'm TV." - Homer

According to a 30 year study published by the University of Maryland, "unhappy people" watch more TV than "happy" people do.

Based on data from time use surveys, Robinson projects that TV viewing might increase significantly as the economy worsens in the next few months and years.

I'm curious if there is a change in the kind of TV being viewed.  After 9/11 we certainly started watching a lot more pundantry, and I have to admit now that the elections are over I'm less motivated to sit through the 4+ hours of Sunday talking heads.
